Pros:

The Kindle Fire is a smart looking 7-inch tablet that links seamlessly with Amazon's impressive collection of digital music, video, magazine, and book services in one easy-to-use package. It boasts a an impressive 18 million movies, TV shows, songs, magazines, and books on its web site and a fantastic

Web browser, incorporating the Android app store which includes most of the must have applications.

The Kindle Fire has an ultra-affordable price tag at around $199, and the screen quality is pretty amazing for its price point.

The Kindle Fire gives you most the features you would want at a price point that's less than half of the iPad 2, so you can check your email, browse the web, even play some games, most importantly, you can also read magazines in color on the Kindle Fire.

The Amazon Kindle Fire is going to be the first successful tablet not sold by Apple it seems, and there are several reasons for this.

With a low, low price of $199, its convenient and most important easily portable with a wide range in its catalog of books, movies and music offered through Amazon’s Web-based services. It gets a definate thumbs up from me!

Cons: The only concern maybe apps over time, but the Android offering suggests this will be a long term player in the market and a definate challenger to the iPad2, especially when you consider the price. One thing to watch for is that make sure you are home to sign for it. There have been reports of theft from doorsteps, and the Fire ships with your Amazon Profile information already installed. This has led to some reports of thefts and then spends on credit cards etc via the Amazon account. Just make sure you call Amazon ahead if being home to sign is an issue.

Guarantee: 1 Year Limited Warranty and Service

The Kindle Fire is a good piece of equipment for its price point.

Drawbacks include lack of long term space if you love to watch video, and at the point of writing, you cannot store video files on the cloud, which limits you to space in time. This may well be addressed by Amazon over time and for all other reasons, this is one piece of hardware that gets a good thumbs up.

If you are not an iPad freak, then this will definately ring your bell, and its just awesome for reading those magazines and journals, or just checking your emails.
